President and CEO

With a strong emphasis on chemistry, engineering, manufacturing and customer service, Steve leads IBC’s team to meet the needs of IBC’s worldwide customer base for MRT™ products, processes and services. He is a member of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) and has served on the IPMI Board of Directors. Steve received the IPMI Jun-Ichiro Tanaka Distinguished Achievement Award for entrepreneurial contributions to the precious metals industry. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and a Registered Member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, satisfying the “Qualified Person (QP)” requirement under Canadian Instrument NI 43-101. Steve holds a B.A. degree (University Scholar, High Honors) in Chemistry from Brigham Young University and two S.M. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering Practice and in Technology and Policy.

As the leader of IBC’s technical team, Ron has vast real-world experience in the design and construction of green chemistry/green engineering MRT™ separation systems. This experience includes scale up of SuperLig® MRT™ systems from laboratory to pilot plant to full commercial operations for a wide range of applications worldwide. Ron is particularly skilled at working with customers to find solutions to their separation challenges. He received, jointly with Dr. Krzysztof E. Krakowiak, the 2020 Industrial Engineering & Chemistry Fellow Award of the American Chemical Society. Ron holds degrees in Chemical Engineering (B.S.) and Chemistry (M.S. and Ph.D.) from Brigham Young University.

Director of Organic Synthesis

Krzysztof’s expertise is in the design and synthesis of functionalized organic molecules including macrocycles that have unique properties, such as high selectivities for target species including metals and organic molecules. He is particularly adept at the design and development of novel synthetic processes enabling shortening and simplifying of compound preparation for industrial applications. Krzysztof’s skills include the development of improved procedures for preparation of functionalized organic molecules on scales ranging from grams to tonnes for commercial use. His work has been recognized by receipt of numerous awards, including, jointly with Dr. Ronald L. Bruening, the 2020 Industrial Engineering & Chemistry Fellow Award of the American Chemical Society. Dr. Krakowiak received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry from the Medical Academy, Lodz, Poland and did postdoctoral work in Organic Chemistry at Brigham Young University.

Engineering Manager

Luis is proficient in the scale up of chemical processes to meet customer needs. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing MRT™ processes for the recovery of metals from a wide variety of metallurgical and industrial streams. His focus is on optimizing processes through use of novel processing routes based on statistical analysis and validation of those routes using descriptive statistics and process control tools. Prior to joining IBC, Luis was the Tank House manager at ASARCO’s Amarillo copper refinery. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Universidad Autόnoma de San Luis Potosí (Mexico); an M.S. degree in Engineering Technology, West Texas A&M University; and an M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, University of Utah.

Kevin ensures that production deadlines are met promptly, efficiently and to exacting quality control standards. Under Kevin’s leadership, IBC’s SuperLig® products and Molecular Recognition Technology™ equipment are manufactured to meet the specific requirements of IBC’s customers. He holds a B.S. degree in Technology Management from Utah Valley University.

Accounts Manager and Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Jenn manages key customer accounts at IBC with an emphasis on individualized customer service. She oversees all environmental and safety aspects of IBC’s operations as well as implementation of IBC’s Quality Assurance Program. Jenn holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Science and Occupational Safety from Brigham Young University.

Vice President, Finance and Secretary/Treasurer

Paul manages IBC’s accounting, finance, procurement and shipping functions. He works closely with IBC’s global customer base to ensure a smooth purchasing experience and efficient transit and delivery of IBC’s products. In addition to IBC, he has wide- ranging accounting experience at public, non-profit and charitable organizations. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of Utah, holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and an M.Acc. (Master of Accountancy) from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University.

Andraya oversees purchasing, accounts payable, payroll and other accounting functions. Her extensive experience with IBC’s broad base of suppliers ensures that raw materials are efficiently and timely procured to support IBC’s manufacturing operations. Andraya studied accounting at Utah State University.
